What is that? Very simply it is what smart business people do. A lot of people in key rolls don’t really get it. What is it you’re asking? It is business done smarter not harder. It is taking the time to review your day to day business operations and ask yourself what would make this run so much more easier, much more efficiently, much more cost effectively. I say, get that old yellow legal pad out and scratch it out ask the questions and prioritize it. If just one process was streamlined how much time would that give you back later to address other operational areas that need to become more efficient. Once you have two or three things down then pick up the phone and call around or maybe just answer the phone and talk to companies that can partner with you and provide those services that will give you efficiency and cost control. It is not always a need to buy software it is a need to partner with companies who already have it and use it to service you and can interface with your current software. Accounting departments watch two lines on the books all the time because they are controllable expenses and that is labor and operating cost – materials, utilities, advertising. If you could partner with a company that provides services that can lighten the line of both labor and operating cost – materials, utilities, advertising simultaneously would you? If it served to make your job easier, would you? If it made you a leader in your company, would you? To do so, is intelligent partnering for efficiency and cost control.
